Bios of Executive Committee Members
Hickey, John
John Hickey is the executive director of the Missouri Progressive Vote Coalition (Pro-Vote), a labor/community coalition with offices in St. Louis and Kansas City. Pro-Vote, founded in 1992, has been involved in more than two dozen successful Missouri state house races, mostly with first-time candidates. Pro-Vote trains candidates in door-knocking, fundraising, data management, and message development. John has been involved in electoral field work since 1979, working with ACORN for 10 years in low-income urban areas conducting voter registration and mobilization drives. John also was a union organizer for the Communication Workers of America.
